    National Current Events League
    Congratulations to the Junior-Senior Current Events team!
    The competition among 60 schools was based on the results of of 4 competitive tests held throughout the school year.
    At the end of the final meet,
    they are in FIRST Place in New Jersey
    and SECOND
    Place in the Nation!

    Christine Jose and Katherina Muniz-Cadorette are designated as
    National Student Winners in this competition .


    Congratulations also go out to the Freshman Current Events Team.
    At the end of the final meet,
    they are in FIRST Place in New Jersey and FIRST Place in the Nation!
  2. Maria Chua is designated as a National Student Leader in this competition.
    Congratulations to the teams, their teachers and the Social Studies Department!!!

Teachers Designated Ellis Island Teacher Ambassadors
Miss Barron and Mrs. Sullivan have been invited to present their work at this summer's National Endowment for the Humanities workshop on Ellis Island. Both of the teachers have been designated as Ellis Island Teacher Ambassadors under a grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and have been working on this project throughout the year. This summer, they will present their work and that of their students. Both the physics and psychology classes have done extensive work in conjunction with Miss Barron and Mrs. Sullivan.

Their presentation is entitled "Take It Back to the Classroom." Practical applications and lessons will be the focus of their presentations for the teachers attending the workshop.

Congratulations to the Track Team!
Several members of the Track Team competed in the NJ State Championships.
