Bus
transportation is available to Mother Seton Regional High School from
Union, Middlesex and Essex counties. Several towns provide free transportation
to Mother Seton Regional High School students or reimburse the family
for the cost of busing which is provided by the school.
Bus
transportation is provided for each student who requests it. Most busing
is provided free of charge for those who live more than 2 1/2 miles from
Mother Seton because:
A. The student's town provides
the busing (e.g.) Carteret, Elizabeth,
Union and Woodbridge
or
B.The student's town reimburses the
parent approximately $800.00
of busing costs. (See A below)
The fee (2008-2009) for busing at Mother
Seton Regional High School is approximately$2100 per year,
payable monthly, semi-annually, or annually. Parents who have
no bus assistance provided by their town (e.g. Hillside, Roselle)
and parents who receive reimbursement, pay Mother Seton according
to one of the three payment choices (monthly, semi-annually,
or annually). Students whose town provides busing pay no money.
These students are bused to Mother Seton by their own towns.
Students who live less than 2 1/2 miles from Mother
Seton may request consideration in the cost of busing and
pay approx. $800 per year.
Application for busing must be made for each student who plans
to use any bus during the following year, on or before March
15th. Parents pay a nonrefundable deposit in May to ensure
busing for their daughter. If you live in a town which provides
reimbursement and you live more than 2.5 miles from school,
you are entitled to receive approximately $800 reimbursement,
whether you send your daughter by bus or transport her yourself.
When the school receives your applications, we forward them
to the appropriate Boards of Education. The towns which provide
reimbursements to parents will do so in February and July
of the current school year. If you do not receive these reimbursements,
contact your Board of Education.
In the case of Carteret, Elizabeth, Union
and Woodbridge, all information about pick-up times, etc. comes directly
from your Board of Education. If you have any questions, contact them.
Routes for all other towns are mailed to you by the school in August.
